Inferius – Dominion Icons - UI Design
As part of the design team working on Inferius, a dark fantasy horror game, I designed a series of level-specific icons representing the game’s nine dominions. These icons function as visual markers on the world map and appear in loading screens to introduce each region as players progress.
The challenge was to create distinct, memorable symbols that captured the identity of each dominion while maintaining a cohesive visual language. The icons feature a grungy, hand-drawn style designed to align with Inferius’ stylized art direction without overwhelming the player. The result is a set of minimalist yet evocative visuals that enhance immersion and gameplay clarity.

Inferius – Card Battle Stat Icons | UI Design
Inferius’ strategic card battle system also required a custom set of stat icons to represent core gameplay elements ( Sanity, Swiftness, Power and Toughness) These icons needed to be instantly readable while fitting seamlessly into the game’s eerie, horror-inspired UI.
Using a gritty, hand-drawn aesthetic, I focused on simplicity and silhouette clarity, ensuring the icons would remain effective at small sizes. The goal was to support fast-paced decision-making without disrupting the game’s mood. The resulting set enhances user experience through functional design while deepening the visual consistency of the game’s dark fantasy world.
